Harry W. Lawton was born in Long Beach, CA on December 11, 1927. He was a writer, journalist, editor, historian, and a lecturer at the University of California, Riverside. Willie Boy (Chemehuevi) lived during the late 19th and early 20th century. He became well-known through sensational media portrayals of the "last Western manhunt."
